Hancock Shaker hosts Bon Appetit

Photographer Tim Morris shooting crème brulee in the Hancock Shaker Village\'s 1830 Brick dwelling.Last week Hancock Shaker Village hosted a crew of 15 to cook, style and photograph the 2008 Thanksgiving issue of Bon Appetit!

The crew included a producer, the Bon Apetit art director, 3 food stylists, 3 assistant food stylists, 2 prop stylists, 2 assistant prop stylists, one photographer and his 2 assistants.

What is the impact?

For an entire week these 15 people stayed in a local hotel, ate in local restaurants, and used the services of local businesses. In addition to the crew’s contribution to the local economy, the pending article introduces, or reintroduces, Hancock Shaker Village and the Berkshires to Bon Appetit ‘s1.3 million plus readers. Coverage on this scale does not only benefit the host institution but the entire county, by further solidifying our reputation as a unique cultural and natural destination.
