EVENTS AT IS 183 ART SCHOOL

IS183 Art School is a non-profit community art school encouraging people of all ages, means and skill levels to enrich their lives through hands-on experience in the visual arts.

All classes are open to the public at all skill levels; beginners welcome! Many classes are structured for beginners with small class sizes; emphasis is on individualized instruction. Classes are available for children and adults, and most adult classes are open to teenagers, as well.

Check out these upcoming IS183 events!

Launched in 2006, ArtTalks is a series of free public lectures which create a forum for students, residents and artists in the region to be introduced to the work and ideas that are shaping contemporary art. All talks are held at IS183 and begin at 7pm.

Circus Celebration

Aug. 23 from 12-2pm.

This is a great opportunity for families to spend time together and have fun taking place in a children’s art show, games, a picnic and cookout!

Ceramic Fest

Oct. 18

Holiday Sale

Dec. 6 from 11am-5pm.

At these events there will be a wide variety of one-of-a-kind hand made pieces on sale, which will directly benefit the school.
