New Studios Available on North Street
The historic Onota Building at 74 North Street is now offering spaces on the top floor – the sixth – for rent to artists and creative workers to use as studios. The building features an elevator, 24 hour-access, shared bathrooms and sink, and all utilities are included. The rent is $175 a month. New Gallery Space Opens on North Street
Efoote Studios, located at 524-B North Street, has just opened its doors and encourages artists to contact them regarding showing their work. They are also planning a community mural on the north side of their building and are looking for community artists and volunteers to help with the painting. Pittsfield Cultural Council Grants Due October 15
The annual Pittsfield Cultural Council call for grants is underway for projects planned for 2009. Visual, performing and literary artists, arts organizations and community groups are all encouraged to apply. The grants can be for up to $2,000, and should benefit the Pittsfield community.
