sbasbdclogo“Even in a downturn, small business is the backbone of the economy, as they account for two-thirds of the private sector employment.”

This is what Sandford Blitz, New England Regional Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), shared last week with members of the Berkshire small business community.

Dick Lindsay of the Berkshire Eagle reports that Blitz stated that the “nation’s economy has a history of bouncing back as it did from the inflation of the 1970s, the recession of 1981-82, and the housing crisis of the early 1990s….However, a small-business-led rebound won’t happen unless owners take advantage of capital investment opportunities.” Click here to read Dick Lindsay’s full Berkshire Eagle articl
