Gordon Thorne is the developer of Thorne’s Market in Northampton, founder of Open Field Foundation that holds the Bramble Hill Farm in Amherst, executive director of the Available Potential Enterprises (APE), and an artist concerned about the availability of affordable art spaces in the building of vibrant communities. Thorne will speak on the importance of public access to the arts in shaping and maintaining a healthy and diverse community and the possibility of applying the structure of a community land trust to the creation of a “Community Arts Trust.”
