BERKSHIRE CULTURAL LEADER NAMED ONE OF TOP 25 MOST POWERFUL AND INFLUENTIAL ARTS LEADERS

Ella Baff, Executive Director of Jacob’s Pillow Dance, has been named one of the Top 25 Most Powerful and Influential Leaders in the Arts by Inside Arts.

One of the few arts presenters and the only dance industry leader named, Baff is listed among fellow arts luminaries, including Rocco Landesman, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, and Robert Redford, actor and President of the Sundance Institute. Inside Arts is the official magazine of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters.

Baff has served as Executive Director of Jacob’s Pillow Dance for twelve years.  Under her leadership, the Pillow has substantially increased its international programming, built its first endowment, created new artistic development programs, developed an audience engagement program of over 200 free events, and established the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Award. She has received several honors throughout her career, including the Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters from the French Ministry of Culture, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters William Dawson Award for Programmatic Excellence, and an Honorary Doctorate from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
