Jacob’s Pillow will be featured this Sunday on HBO’s MASTERCLASS, a nine-part arts documentary series.
The episode premieres May 9 at 5:45pm, and features Jacques d’Amboise, New York City Ballet legend and National Dance Institute founder, as he guides a group of young dancers through the process of creating a work in five hours, then travels to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival for the premiere. Gentry George and Ernest Baker, alumni of The School at Jacob’s Pillow, appear in the May 9 episode and a June 13 episode with Bill T. Jones, respectively. The documentary will be available on HBO On Demand following the premiere on May 9.
