(January 17, 2013) – BookMarc Creative, a graphic design, branding, marketing and communications agency is pleased to announce the win of four American Graphic Design Awards for excellence in print and website design. It is the fourth consecutive year that BookMarc Creative has been honored with multiple awards. Their award-winning, designs were:

Berkshire Pens is the business banner for craftsman Dan Burkhard of Stockbridge, MA. Dan creates handcrafted writing instruments, using a wide variety of materials and an antique lathe made by his grandfather. In addition to designing the website, BookMarc developed the Berkshire Pens logo and tag line “we make the pens, you make your mark.”
Whirlaway Group LLC, of Charlton, MA is headed by principle consultant Linda Watson, who is Board Certified in Security Management and has served as a police officer in Massachusetts for more than 18 years. Whirlaway Group offers security and threat assessment solutions, with a proven record in helping schools and places of worship be safer places. In addition to the award-winning, logo, BookMarc developed Whirlaway Group’s website.
Riverbrook Residence is an innovative program for disabled women aged 22 and up, located in Stockbridge, MA. Riverbrook makes it possible for this population to live a life that includes a safe home, fulfillment through work, self-expression and community activity. BookMarc was awarded for “Green to Gold—Riverbrook in the Gilded Age”— a fundraiser invitation package, and for the organization’s Annual Donor Campaign “Connection” that raised funds to bring augmented and adaptive technology to enhance residents’ ability to communicate.
According to Liz DeMarco, co-owner of the agency she founded with Nan Bookless in 2003, “it is such an honor for our work to be consistently recognized within such a large and prestigious competition. Of course, we thank our wonderful clients for understanding the tangible value that great design brings to their marketing efforts and for giving us the opportunity to bring our talents to their service.”
The American Graphic Design Awards is a four-decade-old flagship competition and is open to everyone in the graphic arts community, including graphic design firms, advertising agencies, in-house corporate and institutional designers, publishers, and other media. The competition receives more than 8,000 entries annually. Less than 15 percent of the applicants receive awards.
